ARTIST: Marybell Katastrophy (DNK)

Few posts ago I wrote about a group called Tiger Tunes, so this is like a sequel to it. The thing is that Marie Højlund was a member of Tiger Tunes. Now the young Danish audio design student is occupied with her very own solo project under the name Marybell Katastrophy.
Anyway, you can listen to all of her songs from here. I personally like "Hip" and "Whiteboard" the most. The latter somehow sounds to me like a mixture of one of Björk's song (I can't remember the title at the moment) and David Bowie's "Black Tie White Noise" (I mean the chorus part), but you know.... I'm partly deaf and having problems with my wild associative memory. All the other songs are cute too:)

GROUP: Aides (Est)

OK, sorry, Heaven Monkey, I know this is so totally EMO and after a year or so there are hords of 15 year old school girls screaming in their concerts and so on, but the thing is... I like Aides. They are good. The kind of good no one has been in a long time in Estonia. And original. And talented. And if I keep going on like this, it will sound lame even to myself.
Anyway. They recorded a studio video for a TV show called "Hoia ja Keela" and it's here.
I sure hope, they will soon release the album they have been promising a long time. And that they will finally finish their homepage.
