NEWS: The Mars Volta new album coming soon

The Mars Volta have revealed some details about their upcoming full length, Amputechture. The album is slated for a release through Strummer/Universal on August 15th in the US, and August 11th in Europe. The album was produced by Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and was mixed by Rich Costey. The artwork will be created by Jeff Jordan.

The band again worked with guitarist John Frusciante of upcoming tourmates the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The bands will be touring together in August.

I recommend you to check out Jeff Jordans webpage and take a peek of his works of mythological creatures becoming freaks in modern world. Quite interesting stuff. This picture is also his piece.

I'm at work, checking out these pictures of Jordan, but others who happen to see my desktop, might think that I'm just looking at some pictures of twisted naked ladies.
PS Will I ever learn to pronounce The Mars Volta's song names?
