Do you know Mike Patton? The lead singer of Faith No More, Mr Bungle, Tomahawk and Fantomas and the co-founder of Ipecac Recordings and a great experimenter? No???!! Well, shame on you then! It's high time you get to know him. But enough about him, it's this album I wanted to talk about.
Peeping Tom is a long time project of his. It seems Patton has worked with it in collaboration with Norah Jones, Massive Attack and Kool Keith about 6 or 7 years constantly shelving and unshelving it. Well, this year in May, it was realeased - pop music a la Patton.
Although there were some interesting collaboration partners (Sucker with Norah Jones for example is in my opinion quite unique), you can distinctively hear Pattons handwriting there. It's quite dominant. But still, it's not an album you should ignore. It doesn't happen every day an alternativ music hero takes this dangerous kind of step and puts his energy into making something you could even call pop music. So listen carefully and many times, but don't get addicted to this sweet banana.
Again you can listen most of the album for free from their myspace.com profile here.
By the way, SonicMonks thank gracefully K6rvaklapp and grab the banan with their hairy hands:)

why shouldn't I get addicted to that album?
addictions are not good for your mental health.
The subject doesn't matter.
